The Latest Kerala High School Assistant Exam Notification
The latest Kerala PSC HSA (High School Assistant) notification is for teachers in English, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Sanskrit, Arabic, Urdu, Mathematics, Social Science, Natural Science, and Physical Science.
It is a direct recruitment, and anyone with the following minimum qualifications can apply for the Kerala High School Assistant PSC examination.
Minimum Eligibility To Apply for High School Assistant in Kerala
Any candidates with required educational qualifications between the ages of 18 and 40 can apply for the direct recruitment. Those in SC/ST and OBC categories can avail of upper-age relaxation.
There is no upper age limit for HSA by transfer.

High School Assistant Age Limit
The age limit for Open Category candidates is 18-40 years.
The upper age limit for OBC candidates is 43 years.
The upper age limit for SC/ST applicants to apply is 45 years.
Minimum Educational Qualifications Required
A Degree in the concerned subject conferred or recognized by the universities in Kerala.
Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET)
B.Ed/B.T/L.T in the same subject conferred or recognized by the universities in Kerala.

Exemptions To the above General Rules
Candidates do not need KTET if they have qualified CTET /NET /SET /M.Phil /Ph.D./ M.Ed. in the respective subjects
No age limit for the Departmental High School Laboratory Attenders having a minimum of 5 years of satisfactory service. He must have the prescribed qualification required for an HSA.
No upper age limit for Teachers of the Government Primary and Nursery Schools who are graduates and are otherwise qualified.
Upper age limit after allowing the relaxation as per rule should not exceed 50 years of age.
First Class Scouts and Guides have a preference in the matter of appointment as Teachers.
Wives of Jawans have the preference in the matter of recruitment as Teachers if they possess the prescribed qualifications.

Kerala HSA Monthly Salary and Standard Deductions
The Government of Kerala gives a decent salary to High School Assistants. They receive 41,300-87,000 Indian Rupees per month as basic pay. Over the basic pay, HSA will receive HRA, DA, TA, and exam paper evaluation fees.
The Government will deduct an amount for PF, NPA, compulsory insurance, and professional tax from the net salary. So, the in-hand salary of a High School Teacher is (Basic Pay + HRA + TA + DA + Exam Evaluation Fee) - (Professional Tax + PF Contribution + NPA + Insurance Premium).
Promotion of a High School Assistant
The Education Department awards promotions on (the basics of) seniority and years of service. An HSA will receive promotion as a High School Assistant (Higher Grade) after seven years of service.
After fifteen years of service, she will become a High School Assistant (Senior Grade ). After 22 years of service, she will become a High School Assistant (Selection Grade).

The Government High School Teacher Transfer Rules
Kerala PSC prepares a separate rank list for each revenue district. Once selected for a school in a revenue district, she cannot apply for transfer to another revenue district before the completion of five-year service.
The Government of Kerala allows a transfer request of an HSA based on the conditions set on G.O(MS)No.4/61/PD, dated 02.1.1961.
Appointment and Transfer Of HSA in Aided Private Schools
Managers are the appointment authority in Private Aided Schools. The Government of Kerala entrusts the Aided School Managers to appoint suitable candidates as High School Assistants.
An Aided School management can transfer one High School Teacher from one school to another under the same management. However, to transfer an HSA from one aided school management to another requires permission from the District Educational Officer.

Kerala High School Social Science Teacher District Wise Recruitment Notification
According to category 203/2021, Kerala PSC selects Social Science High School Teachers. It is district-wise recruitment to Malayalam Medium.
